CRESTAR DANCE GROUP DELIVERED STUNNING PERFORMANCES AT THE 2007 INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S CULTURAL & ARTS FESTIVAL IN SHANGHAI
Crestar School of Dance (CSD) was invited to perform at the 2007 Shanghai International Children’s Cultural and Arts Festival held in Shanghai from 28 July to 3 August this year.
This Festival, organised by the China Welfare Institute (CWI), was also sponsored by CWI, Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation. The Festival is held once in every three years and children’s arts troupes from all over the world are invited to participate. The past three festivals have demonstrated how easily children can overcome national boundaries and come together in the spirit of understanding and friendship.
The two main focuses of the Festival are children’s music and dance performances. CSD’s 33-member dance group showcased four dance items of brilliant technique, poise and grace during the Exchange Performance segment and also a special item chosen was presented during the Festival’s Closing Ceremony.
The prestigious event was a good opportunity for our students to build a new bridge of understanding while learning from children all over the world. It was definitely an invaluable and unforgettable experience for the Dance Group’s members.
Congratulations to Crestar Dance Group’s successful and astounding performance at the Festival. Well Done!
