Nationwide Abacus Assessment: A Key Milestone for a Child’s Learning Journey

Abacus is known to develop a child’s mental calculation, logical thinking and concentration. At Crestar Learning Centre (CLC), our Abacus programme regularly assesses our student’s learning progress through periodic assessment.

Purpose of Assessment

1. Track Progress – The assessment reveals how much a child has developed in their mental math skills.
2. Boost Confidence – Completion of the assessment gives students a sense of achievement and boost their confidence.
3. Set New Learning Goals – Findings of the assessment enables Crestar to identify strengths and learning needs of a child, which enables us to individualise our lesson for each child.

Nationwide Abacus Assessment for Preschoolers in September 2024
In September, CLC organised an Abacus assessment that involved close to 100 preschoolers. The children showcased their skills with enthusiasm, and it was clear that the practice had paid off. The preschoolers had achieved 100% passing rate for the assessment!
