Math-nopoly Mania: A Look Back at Our December 2025 Math Holiday Camp!
January 12, 2026

Our young learners kicking off their Math-nopoly Mania adventure!
Last December, our Marine Parade and Woodlands Civic Centre centres were filled with excitement as children joined our Math‑nopoly Mania holiday camp — and they truly had a blast!
School holidays are often seen as a time to rest and recharge, but they can also be a wonderful opportunity for children to learn in a different, more engaging way. At Crestar Learning Centre, we designed Math-nopoly Mania to do exactly that — transform math learning into a fun, immersive experience that children genuinely look forward to.
Why Math-nopoly Mania Was a Hit
The main objective of Math-nopoly Mania is to help children strengthen their math skills through play, rather than through repetitive drills or worksheets.
We aimed to:
- Reinforce key math concepts in a stress-free environment
- Build confidence and positive attitudes towards math
- Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and reasoning
- Show children that math can be fun, interactive, and meaningful
By taking math out of textbooks and bringing it into a game format, children become active participants in their own learning — and last December’s Math campers definitely embraced this spirit.

Our classroom transformed into a life-sized game board where every square brings a math concept and thinking challenge.
How the Game Works
Math-nopoly Mania is designed as a game-based course inspired by classic board games. Children play in small groups, moving around a specially designed game board.
Questions are age-appropriate and differentiated, so children of different levels can play on the same board while receiving suitable challenges.
The programme is structured to allow children to play multiple rounds, ensuring repeated exposure to concepts while maintaining high engagement.

Learning is not just about getting the right answers, but about understanding the thinking process.
What Children Gained (While Having Tons of Fun!)
Through Math-nopoly Mania, children developed much more than academic skills:
- Stronger math foundations
Multiplication, division, patterns, and problem-solving are reinforced naturally through gameplay. - Increased confidence
Without the pressure of tests or grades, children feel safe to try, make mistakes, and learn from them. - Improved thinking skills
Challenges require children to reason, plan ahead, and think logically — skills essential beyond math. - Social and communication skills
Playing in groups encourages turn-taking, discussion, explanation of answers, and teamwork.
Most importantly, children left the programme with a positive and joyful memory of learning math, something that can leave a lasting impact on their attitude toward the subject.

Balancing fun and focus: time to think, practise, and strengthen understanding.
Looking Ahead to This Year’s Holiday Camps
Seeing how much our students enjoyed themselves last December, we can’t wait to bring Math-nopoly Mania back again this year. If you’re looking for a holiday camp that blends learning, play, confidence-building, and tons of fun — this is the perfect programme to consider for your child.
Stay tuned for our upcoming holiday camp dates — and get ready for another round of Math-nopoly adventures!
