The Crestar Young Talent Programme (CYTP) gathers talented students and puts them through intensive training to become star performers in their field.

The Crestar Young Talent Programme (CYTP) provides students with opportunities to develop their potential through specialised training, performances, competitions, and workshops. Beyond dance techniques, the programme nurtures confidence, resilience, and valuable life skills.

Growing Confidence

One of the biggest benefits of CYTP is the confidence students gain along the way. By learning advanced techniques, performing on stage, and stepping into competition settings, students are encouraged to push beyond their comfort zones and believe in their abilities.

The programme also helps students develop resilience and perseverance. Through regular training and constructive feedback, they learn that improvement takes time, and that consistent effort is the key to achieving their goals. These experiences build confidence not just in dance, but in everyday life as well.

Valuable Performance and Competition Exposure

CYTP provides students with opportunities to participate in respected competitions such as the Asia Arts Festival, Evolution, International Ballet Grand Prix Singapore,  International Youth Dance Competition and many more.

These experiences allow students to showcase their skills, gain valuable stage experience, and learn how to perform under pressure.

Over the years, students have also performed in Crestar School of Dance’s annual dance concerts and external events, giving them valuable opportunities to perform before live audiences.

Our annual Crestar School of Dance concert provides CYTP students with opportunities to shine on stage.

Many of our students have gone on to achieve awards, scholarships, and top placements at these competitions. Such achievements reinforce an important lesson: hard work pays off. Being recognised for their dedication boosts self-esteem, motivates them to aim higher, and inspires them to continue striving for excellence.

Beyond the Studio

To support students’ overall development, CYTP also includes enrichment workshops designed to complement their dance training. Earlier this year, we conducted a Conditioning Workshop to help students build strength, flexibility, and body awareness, enabling them to dance more safely and effectively. We also held a makeup workshop in June this year, with live demonstrations by our teachers to equip both students and parents to be able to confidently do their own makeup for performances and competitions.

These sessions add value by giving students a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a well-rounded performer, while empowering families to play an active role in their dance journey.

More Than Dance

Together with their peers, CYTP students grow in confidence, resilience, and discipline through every step of their journey.

While CYTP develops stronger dancers, its impact goes beyond technique. The programme nurtures confidence, resilience, discipline, and a positive mindset, while providing meaningful opportunities for students to challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements.

Through every class, workshop, performance, and competition, students learn that with passion, commitment, and hard work, they can achieve more than they ever imagined.
