The theme of the artwork focus mainly on nature, especially the majestic mountains which invoke a great sense of security in Jia Wen.

The work is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the cruelty of human beings. Destructions and threats caused by man have destroyed every inch of the beautiful planet we used to live in. WanQing aim to create awarenss for the urgent need to save the environment through the messages conveyed in these four landscape paintings.

A project that initially started from subjects of flags of different countries. To enhance the drawings, Alexandr researched on the long list of national flowers and chose countries of France, Japan, Egypt and England for the theme. Alexandria presented each country’s flag differently, like abstractly hiding the flag by painting with just a few colours, or drawing them as objects like a napkin or a ribbon.

Rachel’s work is based on a variety of Japanese Anime. Rachel’s have been drawn to this form of art since young because it is presented in bright and colourful hues like in cartoons. When she was in primary school, she practiced by referring to pictures depicting Anime art. She would get so engrossed that she find it hard to stop drawing.

Ever since Zhi Wan was a child, he was always fascinated by trains! When he learnt that Singapore’s very own railway line was closing down on the 1st July 2012, he was inspired to want to paint a series of memorabilia.

He chose four of the most iconic scenes along the line, namely Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, Bukit Timah Railway Station, Kranji level crossing, and last but not least, the iconic truss bridge of Bukit Timah and Dunearn Road.
